Red carpets told tales from far off Mongolia to the neighborhood conflict on the fourth day of the 13th Dubai International Film Festival DIFF
The Dubai International Film Festival’s DIFF red carpet galas were alight with stories of mischief, magic, strength and struggle during the fourth day of the 13th edition.
Starting with an adventure in the afternoon at the Madinat Theatre, audiences of all ages enjoyed the boyhood wonder ‘Roby, Toby’s Fantastic Voyager’. The cinematic experience then delved into the tangled web of institutionalized religion with ‘The Preacher’, on the Madinat Arena red carpet and attended by the film’s renowned Egyptian director Magdy Ahmed Aly and starring cast Amr Saad, Dorra, Ahmed Magdy and Reham Haggag.
Over at the Souk Madinat Theatre, audiences were taken on a soaring adventure of culture and change with ‘The Eagle Huntress’, centred on the first ever female eagle hunter of the Mongolian nomadic Kazakh herders of the Altai mountains region. In attendance was famed documentarian and creator of the film Otto Bell and the huntress herself, Aisholpan Nurgaiv.
Closing out the evening was the world premiere of award-winning Emirati director Abdulla Al Kaabi’s first feature length film ‘Only Men go to the Grave’. With the director in attendance, fans were taken on a journey of family, memories and secrets, which brought a close to the fourth day of the Festival.
